INDIANA RIVER WALKS:
Indianapolis White River Wapahani Trail
|
| |
Description
Walk along the banks of the white river and enjoy one
of our cities longest trails. The Wapahani trail, named after
the delaware indiana tribe's word for white river, winds past
the major taylor velodrome, riverside park and IUPUI campus downtown.
Length of Trail
At 8.5 miles this trail is growing all the time. Indygreenways
is extending the trail system so that it will eventually hook
up with the fall creek trail. Already it connects with the downtown
canalwalk and the central canal path. If you have a mountain bike,
be sure to check out town run trail park on the north end at 96th
street.
